Thanks to supporters like you, HALO continues to make progress. This 2022 Impact Report not only highlights the work done across the world this year, but also the work that is left to do.
The city of Stepanakert in Nagorno-Karabakh was cleared of unexploded ordnance in just 18 months, and the 150,000th landmine was destroyed in Zimbabwe, continuing towards landmine free status.
We celebrated 20 years of progress in Sri Lanka, clearing over 28,000 acres of land. In Cambodia, destroying 320,000 landmines in 30 years.
In El Salvador, we are bringing the rigor of minefield clearance to environmental conservation projects- where HALO is restoring the mangrove forests, one of the most productive and critical ecosystems on the planet.
In Ukraine, we are transforming minefields back into farm fields. Thanks to all donors, HALO teams have made safe hundreds of acres of land- benefitting tens of thousands of Ukrainians, and warning 17.7 million Ukrainians of the dangers of landmines and unexploded ordnance through digital risk education campaigns.
We thank each and every one of you for your loyalty and support, through the years and in 2022.
By supporting and advocating for our programs, you have made a real difference for millions in rebuilding their lives.
